The Community
One of the best things about living in Franklin Hills is all there is to do when you’re not at home. Walk out your front door and take advantage of magnificent hiking and biking trails that most people would travel far to enjoy. Gather and play in a family-friendly neighborhood park, or walk down the street to the Resler Trail. Go a few minutes farther and enjoy the startling beauty of the Franklin Mountains State Park.
Parks and Open Spaces
Franklin Hills is made up of friendly, active, safe, and quiet neighborhoods. Homeowners in Franklin Hills love the rugged natural beauty of the surrounding mountains and valley. Within our neighborhoods, residents enjoy tree-lined trails and sidewalks, parks, and preserved open spaces. Residents have access to parks, miles of hike and bike trails, and access to open spaces. Franklin Hills is designed to respect the natural beauty of the land and we have been careful to preserve important natural open spaces within the community.
Schools
Franklin Hills is located in the El Paso Independent School District (EPISD), which has a long and successful history serving the educational needs in West El Paso.
EPISD is an open enrollment school district that welcomes students tuition-free throughout El Paso county. Students who live inside the district's boundary zones may choose to attend the EPISD school that best suits their academic needs. Out-of-district and intra-district transfers must be approved by the accepting campus principal.
District Innovation
EPISD is the first district in El Paso county officially designated as a Texas District of Innovation. The designation gives EPISD the same flexibilities as charter schools in crafting curricula, school programming and calendars.
